How To Get Rid Of Asus ATK Package? Uninstall Asus ATK Package Method. Is a virus or malware and is Asus ATK Package Safe?

ATK Package is a piece of free software that works with Asus Notebooks to provide them with ATKACPI drivers and other utilities related to hotkeys. The program is currently only supported by 32 and 64-bit Windows 8.1 operating systems.

The package installs ATK Hotkey Driver software and other drivers and software for different ASUS models. It comes pre-installed on new laptops and is required to run certain functions. For example, the utilities it has enables functions like the Fn button on the keyboard. ATK packages bundle together ASUS utility and driver software.

The utility allows PCs to communicate with hardware devices. ACPI powers down CD/DVD drives when not being used and manages configuration settings such as defining different hotkeys and handling complex tasks such as 3D graphics and overclocking without modifying the hardware.

The utilities handle the following functions:
    • Hotkeys
    • Ambient Light Sensor
    • TouchPad
    • On-Screen Display
    • Keyboard Light
The name ATK comes from the official name of the company; ASUSTek Computer Inc.

The program is pre-installed on ASUS computers

Some users feel that the program is to be considered bundleware or bloatware. This is optional software that can be removed safely if you aren't going to use the program.
    • It is typically licensed to be used only with the ASUS computer that is pre-installed on
    • It can be difficult for users to remove the program through Windows features for uninstalling programs
